Competence and Transfer Center (CTC)

Sustainable Finance and Regulation

As a hub for economic and legal research, including in the field of sustainable finance and regulation, the House of Finance is well-suited as an interface for sustainability research in social and natural sciences departments of Goethe University and its partner research institutions. Accordingly, in a “Memorandum of Understanding” signed in April 2024 between the ISSB (International Sustainability Standards Board) and Goethe University Frankfurt the House of Finance was assigned a coordination and transfer function to benefit the academic network and ‘ecosystem’ around the ISSB, which opened its Frankfurt Office in 2022.

To this purpose, the “Competence and Transfer Center (CTC) Sustainable Finance and Regulation” in the House of Finance funded by the Innovation Fund of the State of Hesse began its work in autumn 2024. Among others, it organizes workshops to support interdisciplinary academic dialogue on financing sustainability transformation, sustainability reporting, and related data. It addresses not only researchers, but also standard setters and practitioners.
