The House of Finance Foundation was established in 2011 to provide additional financing for the activities pursued by the House of Finance in the areas of research, teaching, and communication. It is administered by the university foundation “Stiftung pro universitate.”

The House of Finance Foundation initially raised 12 million euros in funding. In 2012, endowments were established for three professorships. A five-member Foundation Advisory Board decides on the use of the foundation’s proceeds. Since 2019–20, the Advisory Board has approved the allocation of some 1.5 million euros for the House of Finance’s activities. The donors to the House of Finance Foundation are bound by the university’s code of conduct on the use of donations from third parties. Donors also support the foundation by serving on the Board of Trustees. Information on how to become a donor to the foundation can be obtained from the House of Finance’s executive management.
