Frankfurt Macro Seminar: A new joint initiative between Bundesbank, ECB, Frankfurt School and Goethe University
The first edition of the newly established Frankfurt Macro Seminar took place at the House of Finance at Goethe University Frankfurt on May 13, 2024. This event is an initiative of researchers from Deutsche Bundesbank, European Central Bank, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, and Goethe University Frankfurt with the goal to foster the collaboration between Frankfurt-based macroeconomists. The event provides a unique opportunity to build bridges between the vibrant macroeconomic research teams at the four local research institutions, thereby promoting and strengthening Frankfurt as a hub for macroeconomic research in Europe.
The strong interest in this workshop was reflected in over 50 submissions from researchers at the participating institutions, out of which four papers were selected for presentation by the organizing team. With 55 registered participants and lively discussions during and after the presentations, it became clear that there is high demand for this workshop which is planned to continue on a regular basis at biannual frequency. The next edition of the Frankfurt Macro Seminar will take place on November 14, 2024 at the Frankfurt School. A call for papers will be circulated soon.
